Our Team

Dr. Sohi obtained his license to practice optometry in North Carolina in 2003. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in biology. In 2003 he graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia with his Doctor of Optometry degree.

He completed his clinical training in 2003 at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Crozer-Chester Hospital in Chester, PA and Hahnemann Hospital, Department of Opthalmology in Philadelphia. Under the tutelage of nationally recognized specialists, he obtained training in the fields of Glaucoma, Retinal Disease, Neuro-Opthalmology, and Pediatric Eye Care. Dr. Sohi acquired additional training as an intern in a multi-specialty Opthalmology practice in Philadelphia for three years. During his training there, he participated in clinical trials for glaucoma treatment.

Upon the completion of his training, he joined the Opthalmology referral center of Raleigh, NC as a staff doctor tending to LASIK and cataract surgery patients as well as performing consults for referring physicians from REX emergency room and other area physicians.

He is currently accepting new patients in Raleigh, NC, providing comprehensive medical eye exams as well as glaucoma, diabetic, and ocular disease care.

Dr. Rachel Kormos is a dedicated and compassionate optometrist with a strong background in both medical science and clinical care. She graduated with an Honors Specialization in Medical Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2014, before pursuing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where she graduated in 2018. During her training, Dr. Kormos completed extensive clinical rotations at prominent health centers throughout Boston, the University of Maryland Hospital and Boston Medical Center. These experiences allowed her to develop expertise in a wide range of eye care areas, such as pediatric eye care, dry eye disease, glaucoma, specialty contact lenses, and retinal diseases.


Dr. Kormos has a particular passion for advancing the treatment of dry eye disease and myopia control, both of which she has focused on in her practice since moving to North Carolina in 2023 from southern Ontario. Her approach to patient care integrates cutting-edge technology with a patient-centered philosophy, ensuring that each individual receives tailored care for their unique needs. Whether addressing complex conditions like glaucoma or offering solutions for common concerns such as dry eyes, Dr. Kormos is committed to helping her patients achieve optimal eye health and vision.


Outside of the office, Dr. Kormos enjoys incorporating her passion for health and wellness into her daily life. She is an avid yoga practitioner, hiker, and fitness enthusiast, and she enjoys cooking as a way to nourish both her body and mind. With a deep commitment to continuous learning and patient education, Dr. Kormos is excited to continue serving her community in North Carolina.
